Ready Camps are free 2-session, 4-night event training course that educates Minneapolis residents on how to be resilient, prepare for and recover from natural or human-caused disasters when faced with little to no assistance for 72 hours.
The next available session is August 5 and 6 from 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Augsburg University, 2211 Riverside Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55454 (Christensen Center upper level 2nd floor – Augsburg Room). It’s a 2-part event so residents are encouraged to attend both days.
The topics that will be covered include: community warning systems, spotting severe weather, creating preparedness kits, evacuating and or sheltering, creating communication plans, preparing your homes, medication and health preparedness, and pet and animal preparedness.
