On Tuesday, August 5, the Downtown Minneapolis community came together for an unforgettable evening at the annual DMNA National Night Out Celebration at The Commons. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the collective efforts of our dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, and enthusiastic attendees.
Highlights of the Evening:
- Community Engagement: Residents of all ages enjoyed a variety of activities, including lawn games, frisbee golf, pickleball, face painting and caricature, and balloon artists to informative booths hosted by local organizations. It was wonderful to see neighbors connecting and forming new friendships.
- Entertainment and Food: The night was filled with live music provided by DJ Nimo, and delicious food catered by Vittles Catering, generously provided by our sponsors, which was enjoyed by the attendees.
- Safety and Awareness: Representatives from the Minneapolis Police Department and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board Police were present, engaging with the community and sharing important safety tips. Their involvement reinforced the strong bond between our community and those who protect and serve us.
