The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, at The Commons! What a great evening of fun, connection, and community!
National Night Out is all about bringing neighbors together, building relationships, and celebrating the people and organizations that make our community stronger. This year’s celebration was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when our community comes together.
A very special thank you to our amazing volunteers who helped set up, serve food, welcome guests, keep activities running smoothly, and help make the evening such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We are also grateful to all of the organizations that participated in our Community Resource Fair. Your presence provided valuable information and resources while giving residents an opportunity to connect with organizations serving our downtown community.
And, of course, thank you to all of our generous sponsors and donors! Your support made it possible for us to provide food, activities, entertainment, and a welcoming community celebration for our neighbors. We are incredibly grateful for your investment in our neighborhood.
We also want to recognize and thank the law enforcement community for joining us and taking part in the evening’s activities. National Night Out is an opportunity to build positive relationships between residents and law enforcement, and we loved seeing officers connecting with neighbors in such a fun and relaxed setting. A few even joined some of the kids for a friendly game of pickleball!
Most importantly, thank you to our neighbors who came out to celebrate with us. Whether you stopped by for dinner, played a game, visited the resource fair, chatted with a neighbor, or simply enjoyed the evening at The Commons, you helped make National Night Out special.
We’re already thinking about next year, and looking forward to making it even better!
Thank you, Downtown Minneapolis, for showing up for your community. We’ll see you at National Night Out 2027!
