West River Parkway will be closed Monday-Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm, between 11th Avenue S and Portland Avenue beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The closure is necessary for the City of Minneapolis to install new parkway lighting and is expected to last throughout the rest of April, potentially longer.
Local residential access will be maintained, the bike/walk trail will remain open and the parkway road will be open after 3:30 pm on weekdays and throughout weekends. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board appreciates the public’s patience while our public infrastructure is updated.
