The DMNA is working in partnership with the Mill City Farmers Market and Sherman Associates on a mural project as an interim use until a redevelopment project takes place for the vacant parcel at 800 Washington Avenue.
The purpose of the mural is to transform this highly visible vacant space in the Mill District into something vibrant and engaging. By adding color and storytelling, we hope that it will eliminate blight, deter vandalism, and build local pride, while at the same time improving the neighborhood’s overall aesthetic and economic value.
The Mill City Farmers Market will be hosting an information table at their market on Saturday, June 20, where residents will be able to stop and review the proposed mural and provide feedback.
