MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – New Horizon Academy has opened a new childcare center in the Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis, bringing high-quality early education and childcare to families who work and live in downtown Minneapolis.
The Minneapolis school, which opened to families on August 7, 2023, will care for and educate children ages 6 weeks through 5 years. The brand-new childcare facility features state-of-the-art, well-equipped classrooms that are thoughtfully designed to enhance learning through play. The new playground will encourage movement and exploration in the urban environment of downtown Minneapolis.
Highly trained early childhood teachers will lead children through an age-appropriate curriculum that focuses on literacy, social-emotional learning, STEAM concepts, establishing a love of learning, and preparing children for kindergarten and beyond.
The Minneapolis Downtown East school is located at 655 5th Ave. S. in downtown Minneapolis, on the ground floor of the Moment Apartments. The school is conveniently located within walking distance of several nearby businesses, such as Thrivent, Hennepin County Medical Center, Minneapolis City Hall, Hennepin County Government Center, U.S. Bank Stadium, and many hotels and restaurants.
New Horizon Academy is proud to be part of the revitalization of Downtown Minneapolis, and aims to become an invaluable part of the Downtown East community.
“We believe in providing the best possible learning environment for children during their formative years,” said Chad Dunkley, CEO of New Horizon Academy. “We are thrilled to be bringing our high-quality childcare and early learning programs to more Minneapolis families.”
