There will be a Snooper truck on the bridge starting January 22 for 3-4 weeks to do some pre-work. A Snooper truck allows workers to access the underside of the bridge. In this case, workers will be measuring bridge stones so that they can order the proper materials. MnDOT will cone off the area around the truck but the bridge will remain accessible to pedestrians and bicyclists during this work.
The Stone Arch Bridge reconstruction project is scheduled for April 2024-October 2025. During construction, pedestrians and bicyclists will not be able to cross the full length of the bridge. Crews will close half of the bridge at a time during construction, allowing people to walk or bike to the middle of the bridge and turn around at the closure.
