The City of Minneapolis Health Department is looking for Downtown East residents, businesses, and organizations to help improve our understanding of local air quality by hosting a small outdoor air sensor.
These air sensors measure air quality in real time and help the City better understand overall air conditions across Minneapolis. Sensors are installed outside of homes, schools, or businesses and are part of a citywide effort to build healthier communities.
Who can host a sensor?
The City is specifically looking for hosts located in Downtown East.
What does hosting involve?
- The sensor is installed outdoors
- It quietly measures air quality in real time
- Data helps inform citywide air quality monitoring and public health efforts

Thank you for helping Downtown East play a role in building healthier communities!
