Public Hearing – Downtown Rezoning Study

June 13, 2011 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

The City of Minneapolis is completing a rezoning study to implement the North Loop Small Area Plan, Downtown East/North Loop Master Plan, and other land use policies in Downtown. The goal of a rezoning study is to analyze each parcel for FUTURE conformance with the adopted plans and the City’s Comprehensive Plan. In some cases, this results in recommended zoning changes.

A public hearing has been set during a City Planning Commission meeting on Monday, June 13th at 4:30pm in Room 317 City Hall, 350 S. 5th St., Minneapolis, MN. Interested parties are invited to attend and be heard.  After consideration of the recommendation from the CPED Planning staff and public testimony, the City Planning Commission will make a determination based on required legal findings of fact.

If you’d like to provide a letter in support or opposition to the staff recommendations, please respond to this email or send to my address below.

You can find all recommended zoning map and text changes, including a proposed new Downtown zoning district, on the project website at: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/cped/downtown_rezoning.asp

Thanks for your consideration,
