Downtown Rezoning Study: May 4th Community Meeting

May 4, 2011 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The City of Minneapolis is conducting a rezoning study to implement the North Loop Small Area Plan, Downtown East/North Loop Master Plan, and other land use policies in Downtown. The goal of a rezoning study is to analyze each parcel for FUTURE conformance with the adopted plans and the City’s Comprehensive Plan. In some cases, this results in recommended zoning changes.

Come to a community meeting to hear about the recommendations, including implementation of a new Downtown zoning district. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 4th 5-7pm at North Central University’s Centennial Hall (725 South 10th Street). A public hearing for the zoning changes is tentatively scheduled for a Planning Commission meeting on June 13th.

For more information and to see the draft zoning maps, visit the project website: http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/cped/downtown_rezoning.asp.
