Community Morale Boosting Event on April 21, at 7 p.m.

Help boost the morale of the downtown community. Step out onto your balconies or patios at 7 p.m. tonight to show your appreciation for our neighbors who on the front line of the Coronavirus crisis.

  • Grocery Store Workers
  • Custodians
  • Postal Workers
  • Delivery Drivers
  • Bus Drivers
  • LRT Train Operators
  • Hotel Workers
  • Airline Employees
  • Farmers
  • Truckers
  • Day Care Providers
  • Teachers and support staff who are working behind the scenes to provide K-12 distance education
  • School lunch workers who are working behind the scenes to create and distribute healthy meals for kids
  • Others who are working to keep our city safe, healthy and our economy on track

Whether it’s clapping, cheering, or ringing a cowbell, these small gestures are a simple thank you for the sacrifices these people are making for the well-being of our city.  This is also an opportunity for us to cheer for ourselves for enduring this pandemic.

Please help spread the word through your residential building. Our hope would be to continue this weekly until the Stay at Home order is lifted. Other Minneapolis neighborhoods have been doing this for several weeks, and others are joining tonight.  Let’s show them how proud and loud we can be!
