Election Day is just around the corner, and every vote counts! Now is the time to make your plan to vote and ensure that your voice is heard. Here are a few tips to help you get ready for Election Day:
1. Check Your Registration Status:
Make sure you’re registered to vote at your current address. You can verify your registration status online at voter registration website. If you need to update your information, now’s the time to do it!
2. Know Your Polling Place:
Polls will be open on November 5 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find your assigned polling place here: link to polling place locator. Make sure you know where to go before Election Day arrives.
3. Make a Voting Plan:
Think about when you’ll vote—will it be before or after work, or perhaps during your lunch break? Planning your day in advance can help ensure that nothing gets in the way of casting your ballot.
4. Bring What You Need:
If your voter registration is current and active, you do not need to bring identification. This means you were successfully registered at least 21 days before Election Day and you have not moved or changed names since then. If you need to register or update your registration, or you have not voted in four years or more, you will need to show proof of residence before you vote.
5. Spread the Word!
Encourage your friends, family, and neighbors to vote too. Remind them to make their voting plans, and even consider going to the polls together. Your vote is your voice, and together, we can make a difference in our community.
Let’s make sure everyone is prepared to cast their ballot on Election Day. See you at the polls!
