The DMNA Board will have a special meeting on Monday, July 6, at 6 p.m., via Zoom to review and discuss whether to sign on to the Minneapolis Downtown Council’s Public Safety Statement and Guiding Principles for Police Reform and Public Safety. The Minneapolis Chamber of Commerce and the Building Owners and Management Association have also signed on to this.

The board will also discuss whether to submit a comment regarding the Charter Amendment prior to the public hearing at the Minneapolis Charter Commission meeting scheduled for July 8.

The Minneapolis Charter Commission will have a first reading of the proposed ordinance amendment during their meeting on Wednesday, July 1. The meeting starts at 4 p.m. The Charter Commission will meet again on Wednesday, July 8, for a second reading of the ordinance. They will conduct a public hearing at this meeting.
