The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) is seeking volunteers interested in participating in the design, development, and implementation of a Neighborhood Identification Signage project.
The purpose of the project is to create and install signage that demarcates entrances to the Downtown East and Downtown West neighborhoods, and defines smaller neighborhoods within the larger Downtown East and Downtown West neighborhoods such as the Mill District. The image in this story shows examples of signage from other Minneapolis neighborhoods.
The signage will better define neighborhood boundaries, improve the community’s appearance, improve the motorist experience, enhance the pedestrian experience for residents and visitors, and increase the sense of community. The plan is to design and install the signage over the next few years.
If you have an interest in helping with this project, please contact DMNA Neighborhood Coordinator Christie Hantge at [email protected].
