The Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association (DMNA) is seeking passionate and community-minded individuals to fill three open seats on our Board of Directors. One seat carries a three-year term, and two seats have two-year terms.
Serving on the DMNA Board is a great way to get involved, stay informed, and help shape the future of our downtown neighborhoods. Board members work to strengthen connections between residents, businesses, and civic partners in both Downtown East and Downtown West.
To be eligible, you must live, work, or own property in Downtown East or Downtown West.
Board members typically invest about 4-8 hours a month in DMNA meetings and activities, which include:
- Monthly board meetings (1.5-2 hours).
- Participation in at least one committee (Civic Engagement, Safety & Security, Land Use), which also meet monthly (1.5-2 hours).
- Active engagement in community events throughout the year, including DMNA’S National Night Out celebration held on the first Tuesday in August. Board members contribute to planning, fundraising, and on-site volunteering to help make this important community event a success. (Hours vary).
Help us continue building a vibrant, inclusive, and connected downtown community—run for a seat on the DMNA Board today!
