A Mother’s Love Initiative is a North Minneapolis-based non-profit organization made up of African American mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters. Its mission is to build strong families with strong foundations — academically, socially, emotionally and financially — now and for generations to come. Its primary focus is on the prevention of gun and domestic violence, which, intertwined, magnify each other to the detriment of women and families. It works in partnership with other community organizations, for-profit organizations, and law enforcement. Lisa Clemons is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of A Mother’s Love Initiative. A long-time community leader, Ms Clemons also hosts a popular weekly radio show on KMOJ FM Radio 89.9 called Community Values Conversation. Ms. Clemons is a Retired MPD Sergeant.
You are cordially invited to tour the Mother’s Love House and also to visit their Tutoring Center to see their program for children in action.
