The City of Minneapolis issued a request for development proposals (RFP) for 205 Park Ave. S., a City of Minneapolis-owned lot in the Mill District this past spring. Two developers, Sherman Associates and Grand Real Estate Advisors, submitted applications by the June 10th deadline. City staff evaluated both projects against the criteria outlined in the RFP. The City Council, at the recommendation of City staff, approved negotiating rights with Sherman Associates in August.
The DMNA Board approved this document, 205 Park Status and Neighborhood Priorities Checklist, on 9-19-2016 and updated by the Land Use Committee on 12-22-2016 as a tool to communicate design priorities and to track key project details.
The DMNA Board sent the following letter regarding its position on 205 Park Avenue S., to Council Member Frey’s office, CPED Staff and Sherman Associates in October.
The DMNA Board and Land Use Committee sent a follow-up letter regarding the Conceptual Site Greening plan presented to the Land Use Committee at a special meeting on December 22.
