DOWNTOWN IDENTITY COMMITTEE
The Identity Committee was established in 2007 to improve outreach to new members, create a new DMNA website and to help clarify DMNA’s role to its members. This committee is not currently active.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
The Community Development Committee is no longer active. The DMNA Board launched the Land Use Committee in 2014 to assume many of its responsibilities.This committee reviewed new construction projects, zoning variance requests, licensing variances and applications.
CRIME & SAFETY COMMITTEE
The Crime & Safety Committee is no longer active. Many of their responsibilities have been assumed by the Livability Committee. This committee met regularly with the police department at neighborhood meetings to stay updated on their efforts and to seek means of partnering to encourage safe practices.
NRP IMPLEMENTATION
The NRP Implementation Committee is no longer active. However, the proper and appropriate management and disbursement of Neighborhood Revitalization Project (NRP) funds is on of the most important functions that DMNA is engaged in. These efforts span many years and the planning involved is extensive. The Board currently reviews potential projects may benefit NRP support. In 2014, the Livability Committee played a supporting in a supporting role in this by soliciting/reviewing potential projects and providing recommendations to the DMNA Board.
