Downtown Grocery Store

By Bob Saginaw

Do you ever think about how convenient a downtown grocery store would be? While downtown residents appreciate the conveniences of downtown living, we face the inconvenience of not having a large supermarket nearby.

DMRA can help residents organize to explore options to improve this inconvenience. This would be a great project for NRP.

Some downtown buildings, such as the Towers and Rivergate, provide limited bus service to shopping but most of the time residents are on their own. Residents can use DMRA and the NRP process (see page 1) to increase the availability of direct bus/van service from our buildings to the supermarket, including service on Saturdays. Let's work on this project; call DMRA or attend NRP (see Election).
