Dear Council Member:
The Board of Directors of the Downtown Minneapolis Residents Association, Inc. (DMRA) conducted a special board meeting on December 4, 1996. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the baseball stadium issue and the four potential sites that have been suggested. The DMRA Board of Directors passed the following resolution:
The DMRA Board of Directors agreed that it would be premature for DMRA to select or reject a site for a potential baseball stadium, however, DMRA would like the opportunity to get input from the residents of the Downtown Neighborhood and to be involved in any process of site selection for a possible baseball stadium.
The DMRA Board of Directors would like the Minneapolis City Council to consider the above resolution when the Minneapolis City Council makes a decision regarding any potential baseball stadium or stadium site.
