In Re: Peavey Plaza Skating Rink
Dear Mayor Sayle-Belton:
At the December 19, 1995, monthly meeting of the Downtown Minneapolis Residents Association, the Board of Directors took a position in favor of encouraging the City of Minneapolis to seek funding for the warming house and the weekend maintenance at the Peavey Plaza Skating Rink. We feel this is a great asset to the downtown neighborhood and without the warming house, it makes it very difficult to use. We hope that if funding is found this year that the skating season can still be salvaged. We definitely hope that next year's budget will include money for the warming house and weekend maintenance.
