At its September 19, 1995 meeting, the D.M.R.A. Board of Directors voted to opposethe pending zoning-ordinance change regarding gun dealers and reaffirm the position it had previously taken and is contained in the attached letter to the Planning Commission
This action was taken after hearing a full explanation of the "compromise" by a staff member representing a proponent of the proposed ordinance, which was not a genuine negotiated-compromise at all, but rather a provision placed in the ordinance apparently intended to appease resident's concerns. It was specifically reject.
